Building a website for a book publisher
Lost in a Fog was established by my sister, Lucinda Birch, to publish enigmatic, beautiful books.
Website
The website’s purpose is to sell these books online and accept credit card payments.
The custom website was designed by Lily Paris West.
There is only one book for sale, which means it was better to build a site without a shopping cart. (This may be needed in the future if there are multiple books for sale). For now this means the site is simpler and cheaper to run. Customers can go straight to a checkout form to buy the book.
Stripe is used for processing payments and this is the only cost per transaction via the website.
Content Management System
Directus makes it easy for Lucinda to edit pages and manage orders.
